Hello and welcome to the Hop Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia for 2015. I missed the event the last couple of years due to unforeseen circumstances, but am back this year to offer my support to the community.
It is International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia and there are no doubt a lot of events taking place around the world to raise awareness. This blog hop will be one of many events and I am sure there are many people out there who are wondering what they can do to help.
This year I would like to highlight those authors and books where the proceeds of the sales are donated to various charities and organisations that support the GLBT communities.
Queen Henry by Linda Fausnet (the Harvey Milk Foundation)
An Infatuation by Joe Cosentino (GLSEN)
Project Fierce Chicago anthology (Project Fierce Chicago)
Kickass anthology (Eric Arvin)
Lost and Found anthology (GLBT Youth Charities)
I know there are more out there, so if you know of one that is missing from my list, please leave a note of the title and author in your comment.
So, even if you don’t give to charity under normal circumstances, by purchasing one or more of these books, you will be helping to stamp out hate and bring us that little bit closer to a day when we are all equal.
You can also help by commenting on this blog post, for I will be making a donation to The Trevor Project following this blog hop. I will be donating $1 for each comment, with a minimum of $25, and rounding the donation up to the nearest $10. So please remember to comment on this post before you leave.
This blog hop giveaway will begin at the time this post goes live and will end at midnight on the 24th May 2015. A winner will be chosen from the commenters via random.org.
To enter, please comment on this post leaving a valid email address. Full Terms and Conditions for entering the giveaway can be found here.
